stepping stool...

family's out of town...

i'm feeding for them...at their farm...

six horses...bunny...goat...dog...three cats...

start outside...have a list in the shed...

who gets what...makes it easy...

feeding...checking waters...checking eyes...

anyone telling me anything...

so far so good...

all the animals outside seem to be munching happily...

into the house i go...list on the counter...

feed here...check water...bunny...dog...cats...i make the rounds...

all is well...then a meow...and another one...meow...

here kitty kitty...she doesn't come...meow...must mean "you come here"...

i say here kitty...cat says here human...here person...here feeder...

so i follow the meows...down the hall...meow...into the bathroom...

the spare bath...mud room type...the cat room...

cat is in the middle of the room...on the floor...meows...

looks up at me...meow...looks up at the counter...

on the counter is a food dish...the quiet place dish...

where one of the three cats can eat in peace...away from the others...

thoughtful on their owners part...

cat looks at me...meow...looks at the dish on the counter...

i get it...the toilet seat is up...her stepping stool...to the quiet place...

is she asking me to fix it?...put it down please...

i put it down...she hops up on the seat...hops up on the counter...

sets down in front of the dish...starts munching...starts purring...

is purring a thank you?...thank you person...person that i don't even know...

for hearing me meow...for seeing my need...for honoring my request...

what fun...to have a small furry ball of fluff call me down the hall...

make a request...and wait for me to respond...
